Ensemble X presents Music of Tom Tykwer and his collaborators Johnny Klimek, Reinhold Heil and Gene Pritsker. Composer Gene Pritsker brings chamber jazz arrangements of music form various films that he has collaborated on with composers Tom Tykwer, Johnny Klimek and Reinhold Heil as well as his own eclectic compositions to the XJazz Festival. Music form such Tom Tykwer movies as ‘Perfume, The Story of a Murderer’, ‘Cloud Atlas’ and ‘The International’ and the Wachowski’s Netflix series ‘Sense8’ will be given eclectic/jazz arrangements and elaborate orchestrations. Gene will also premiere music especially written for this performance with Ensemble X, and examine the various ways of how music composition and the art of the moving picture can come together.
